Hospital Price Transparency Rule
The Hospital Price Transparency Rule, which went into effect on January 1, 2021, requires healthcare providers to make their pricing information available in a clear and consumer-friendly format. At RapidCare ER, we are committed to helping our patients understand the costs associated with their care.

Insurance and Billing Information
At RapidCare ER, we welcome all private insurance plans. We are a licensed, freestanding emergency room, not a clinic or urgent care facility. As an out-of-network facility, RapidCare ER charges rates comparable to or even lower than those of hospital emergency departments, including facility fees.
Please note:
- RapidCare ER is not a participating provider in any health benefit plan or network.
- You will receive two separate bills: one for the emergency room (facility fee) and one for the physician.
Texas Insurance Law & Medical Emergencies
Texas insurance law states that if your condition is deemed a medical emergency, your insurance will pay in accordance with your plan’s in-network benefit level. However, not all medical issues are considered emergencies.
At RapidCare ER, we work on behalf of our patients, appealing to insurance companies to ensure you receive the benefits you deserve.
